Installing MVS 3.8 from tapes

The beauty of having your own emulated hardware (be it Hercules or SDL Hyperion) is that you can simulate installing a complete system from digitized IBM tapes.

When you would like to do this, choose sufficient and well supported hardware. I tried it on a Raspberry Pi and did not succeed.
