New multimeter, RIGOL DM3058E
In this post, I introduce my new digital bench multimeter, the RIGOL DM3058E. It’s an entry level laboratory precision instrument that will be a good addition to my workbench.
I will present it in the form of an “unboxing”.

This is how I received it

A box within a box, this seems to be how they do things at Rigol

Ready to open the inner box

First glimpse…

Little cardboard box containing…

… booklets and …

-
USB-, test-, and main-leads

-
Booklet that tells us almost nothing
-
-
Spare fuses
-
-
The machine itself, still wrapped

The cover’s of

Unpacked, hooked up, powered on!

I was afraid these crocodile clips wouldn’t be there, they were hidden between the booklets…

Attached to the leads.

Lets measure something

Test leads coupled to the PSU

Wow, not bad, only 4.8 mV off
Missing was the CD that was announced in the packing list… Oh well, the user manual could be downloaded.
Very pleased with this addition to my workbench!
